Allison Knapp Joins Union Savings Bank as Vice President and Senior Commercial Lender

Danbury, CT (August 10, 2021) – Cynthia C. Merkle, President & CEO, Union Savings Bank (USB), is pleased to announce that Allison Knapp has recently joined the bank as vice president and senior commercial lender.

In her role, Knapp will be responsible for developing and handling a variety of commercial real estate and business loan transactions throughout Connecticut and Westchester County.

Knapp has over 25 years of experience in business, real estate, construction, and syndicated lending. Prior to joining USB, she served as senior vice president and producing team leader at Fairfield County Bank, Fairfield, CT, as well as senior commercial lender and vice president at Hudson United Bank, Mahwah, NJ.

Her prior accomplishments extend to New York City where Knapp was employed at Chemical Bank (now J.P. Morgan Chase) and worked in the Leveraged Funding Group at Heller Financial.

Knapp earned a B.A. in Economics from Fairfield University and graduated from Chemical Bank’s Financial Management and Credit Training Program. She has been involved in numerous town Chambers in Fairfield County, a volunteer for the Leukemia Society, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and most recently, REFA (Real Estate Finance Association) and the HBRA (Home Builders & Remodelers Association) of Fairfield County. She resides in Milford, CT.
