Thomas A. Ballachino Joins Union Savings Bank as Vice President, Senior Commercial Real Estate Lender

Danbury, CONN. (December 8, 2022) – Union Savings Bank announces that Thomas A. Ballachino has recently joined the bank as Vice President, Senior Commercial Real Estate Lender.

In his role, Ballachino will be responsible for origination and closing of commercial real estate loans and new business development.

“Tom has deep experience in all aspects of commercial real estate lending, and we are very pleased that he’s joining our commercial services team,” said Peter Maher, Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer for Union Savings Bank. “His background in property analysis and appraisals combined with his solid leadership and client relations skills also benefit USB and our customers.”

Ballachino has more than 34 years of experience in commercial real estate lending and has held a number of positions of increasing responsibility. Most recently he served as Managing Director for Axiom Capital Corp., Cromwell, CT and prior to that, First Vice President, Regional Team Leader for Liberty Bank, Avon, CT.

Ballachino earned a B.S. in Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Society of Office & Industrial Realtors and the Real Estate Finance Association. He resides in Cromwell, CT.
