Joseph Vereline Joins Union Savings Bank as Vice President, Head of Business Banking

Will lead the bank’s new initiatives that streamlines the banking experience for small business owners.  

Danbury, CONN. (January 5, 2023) – Union Savings Bank (USB) announces that Joseph Vereline has joined the bank as a Vice President, Head of Business Banking.

In his new role, Vereline will develop, manage, and oversee all aspects of business banking including lending, deposit services, and cross-selling activities. He will also collaborate with the USB team on new business development with a particular focus on several key business banking products that are designed to enhance and streamline the banking experience for small businesses.

Having worked at several leading national banks as well as a local credit union, Vereline brings more than 12 years of experience to USB. Most recently he was a Business Banker at Affinity Federal Credit Union, Norwalk, CT. Prior to that, he was a Vice President, Small Business Banker at Bank of America, New Canaan, CT.

“Joe has extensive experience with small business lending and is a welcomed addition to our Business Banking team,” said Marlene Piche, SVP Branch and Business Banking. “He has a great ability to understand customer needs and match the appropriate products and services to those needs, plus a proven track record of building new business.”

Vereline will work with Piche on several new business banking initiatives that are designed to eliminate barriers to small business owners, streamline the process of obtaining a loan or line of credit, and ultimately give customers greater flexibility and access to funding. He and the business banking team will help USB reach out to the small business community to ensure they know about these latest offerings and USB’s full range of products and services.

Vereline attended Westchester Community College and is RMA Credit Trained and holds Series 6 and Series 63 FINRA licenses. He is actively involved in the community and the local chambers of commerce. He currently resides in Fairfield, CT.
