Union Savings Bank Selects Three New Corporators

Danbury, CONN. (May 11, 2022) – Union Savings Bank President and CEO Cynthia C. Merkle and Chair of the Board Lucie Voves are pleased to announce the election of three new corporators at Union Savings Bank’s recent annual meeting.

“We are delighted these three business leaders have joined Union Savings Bank as new corporators,” said Merkle. “Our corporators play a huge role as liaisons with the Connecticut community, advocating for new business, and serving as USB ambassadors. They help us achieve our mission to always connect and listen to the community so that we continuously provide best in class products and services.”

The Bank welcomes the following individuals:

Holly Herbert is the president of General Welding & Fabrication, Inc., a woman-owned and operated business located in Watertown.  It has been operating in Connecticut for over 30 years. Herbert studied accounting at Post University, Waterbury, CT. She served on the Board of Education for Thomaston Schools for eight years and is the head of the social committee at the Covenant Church of Thomaston. Herbert resides in Morris, CT.

Roy (Rohit) Mirchandani is the president and owner of Milestone, Inc., a Scientific Instrument Company located in Shelton. Mirchandani earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Muskingum University, New Concord, OH. He is vice president of the Weston field Club and an advisory board member of Adams House in Shelton. Mirchandani resides in Weston, CT.

Emanuela Palmares is the Editor & Partner of Tribuna Newspaper, the largest monthly trilingual publication in Connecticut, in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She is also the vice president of the New American Dream Foundation, Inc., the philanthropic arm of the Newspaper. Palmares studied Liberal Studies at SUNY Purchase College. She serves on the Connecticut General Assembly’s Commission on Women, Seniors, and Children. Palmares previously served on the Danbury Board of Education and the Nuvance Health Board of Directors. She resides in Danbury, CT.
