What accounts can be opened online or via the USB Mobile App?

New and existing Union Savings Bank customers can open the following consumer deposit accounts via our website:

Available for Online Account Opening

Checking Accounts

  • Essential Checking
  • Access Checking
  • Core Checking

Savings Accounts

  • Essential Savings
  • Access Savings

Money Market

  • Boost Money Market

Certificates of Deposit

  • Consumer CDs (Certificate of Deposit)

Available Through the USB Mobile App or USB Online Banking

When logged into the USB Mobile App or USB Online Banking, existing customers can also open a new checking or savings account by clicking “Open New Account”.

Accounts Not Eligible for Online Opening

Some products must still be opened in a branch. For example:

  • GoalGetter Checking (children’s account).
  • Business checking and savings accounts.

Online Account Opening Eligibility Requirements

For new customers opening accounts online:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be a resident of Connecticut or the New York counties of Dutchess, Putnam, or Westchester
  • Must provide a valid driver’s license, state ID, or U.S. passport
  • Must provide a Social Security Number
