Union Savings Bank Partners With MVPSOS To Support Youth Athletic Programs and After School Activities in New Milford
Sixth annual fundraising dinner to be held October 24 at Canterbury School
(New Milford, Conn. – September 18, 2009) – During the past five years, more than 1,000 New Milford school children have had the opportunity to participate in athletics, school and community activities regardless of their families’ financial resources, thanks to the efforts of Motivational Volunteers Promoting the Spirit of Sports & Activities (MVPSOS).
A volunteer non-profit foundation dedicated to providing the town’s children with a solid base for growth through extracurricular activities, MVPSOS has awarded more than $100,000 to support New Milford sports programs, school trips, equipment and uniform purchases and financial aid for camps and classes.
MVPSOS will host its sixth annual fundraising dinner and silent auction on October 24 starting at 6:30pm at Canterbury School, 101 Aspetuck Ave, New Milford. Union Savings Bank is title sponsor of the event, which is expected to draw more than 350 supporters. A sampling of the silent auction Items that will be available for bid include gift certificates to Stonehenge Restaurant and Adrienne Fine Dining, golf foursomes to Ridgewood Country Club and Heritage Village Country Club, round trip airfare for two to anywhere in the continental U.S. and two night stays each in San Diego and Ventura, California courtesy of Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts.
